cookie policy

what this covers

This policy explains how Brindie uses cookies and similar browser storage when you visit brindie.co or use our event and community tools. For broader data practices, see our privacy policy.

what cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your session, keep you signed in, and run core functionality. Some storage works similarly but lives in your browser (for example local or session storage).

cookies we use

Brindie only uses cookies and storage needed to run the service. We group them as follows:

  • Strictly necessary: Authentication and session cookies from Clerk so organizers can sign in securely and stay logged in. Supabase-related session cookies may also be set when the app needs to maintain your database session.
  • Security & operations: Short-lived technical cookies that help protect the platform, route requests correctly, and keep the site working as expected.
  • Preferences: If you accept or decline our cookie notice, we store that choice in your browser (local or session storage) so we do not show the banner again unnecessarily.

what we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies to profile you for marketing. We do not sell data collected through cookies.

third-party cookies

When you sign in, pay for a ticket, or complete organizer onboarding, trusted providers such as Clerk and Stripe may set their own cookies on their domains or embedded flows. Those cookies are governed by each provider's policies. Brindie does not control cookies set outside brindie.co.

managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of Brindie may not work — for example you may not be able to sign in or manage events. Clearing site data will also reset your cookie notice preference.

changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our use of cookies changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
